Summary
Dr Chou is a native of Chicago, IL where he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010.
He spent two years in private practice in Chicago and later decided to commission as a Lieutenant in the US Navy in 2012. He completed the General Dentistry credentialing tour at James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center at Great Lakes, Illinois in 2013. From there, he transferred to the 3rd Dental Battalion in Okinawa, Japan where he served as the Dental Officer at Camp Schwab and Camp Hansen. While in Okinawa from 2014 to 2015, he was selected to be the dental department head for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the USS PELILEU, USS BONHOMME RICHARD, and the USS GREEN BAY. In June 2015, he reported to the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD to complete his specialty training in Endodontics. Upon graduation, he transferred to Naval Medical Center, San Diego where he currently resides with his wife.
